Shrinking The Planet – One Ride At A Time

About Ride2ADV

They say the world is a big place.  An adventure motorcycle is a means to shrink it.  Whether it’s a ride across town or across a continent, you can make every ride an adventure.  The machine can be a lightweight single-cylinder, small displacement, single-track charging carver, or it can be a big displacement, multi-cylinder, plush suspended luxury tourer, or anything else on two wheels.

But they all have one thing in common.  They are the means to move your body and soul around the planet and bring you in contact with the other people of this Earth.  You know that traveling in a cocoon of metal and glass in climate-controlled, sound-deadened silence separates you from humankind.  So you get out on two wheels and experience the world.  You experience and share sights, sounds, temperatures, and, most importantly, the people of this planet.  And as you do so, the planet shrinks beneath your wheels and before your eyes.

Ride2Adventure is dedicated to all who ride or dream of riding to share their lives and learn about others.  If you ride and journey with someone else, perhaps someone special to you, these experiences enhance your relationship while you both learn more about the world and each other.  Through this sharing, we will shrink what is perceived as a large ball of water and stone to a community of human beings who share the Earth in harmony.

Ride2Adventure – Shrink the planet one ride at a time.

  3. Mike and Kim, congratulations on creating such friendly, inviting, pleasurable and interesting website! It is refreshing to read such high quality reports and reviews that are entertaining and uplifting too. It is easy to lightly graze at many different websites – but I find that to be tiresome and unsatisfying – so I am very happy to now have a quality place to spend some of my time! Cheers!

  12. Good site! The trick is not to plan otherwise the old computer is switched on once more and one is not actually on the road. Unless, of course, it’s pouring with rain and one is getting bored waiting to go out planning helps one to look forward to the next trip!

Thank you for sharing your wine with us at the Woodbrige. I bought and am reading your book.
My wife Barbara and I are avid motorcycle riders with a bunch of bikes in VT.

We should meet for breakfast or lunch at the Woodbridge.

    • Hello Frank,

What a great and pleasant surprise to see your comment here! It was our pleasure to share with you and Barbara. That’s what it’s all about (sharing), isn’t it? Whether its at a small café or on the road sharing your life experiences and learning about others, it’s sharing that makes the world a better place.

Thanks so much for buying my book. I hope you enjoy it. Kim and I would enjoy having breakfast/lunch at the Woodbridge and perhaps set up some rides when the snow melts. I’ll send you an email and we’ll figure something out.

      All the best,
