  1. OK we’ll start. We were on a very rainy 2 week ride of Newfoundland. Back in the day, the internet was a pretty new thing and the ferry we were on, the Smallwood, had pay as you go internet. I got on the internet and posted on ADVRider that we were headed home to NH via Nova Scotia.

We then received a post on our blog out of the blue from a Nova Scotian, Joe, who invited us to ride with him and for a special private tour of Nova Scotia including some of his favorite twisties and dirt roads.

We met at a small restaurant in Truro and headed out. Hours later after very tasty twisties, muddy dirt roads and more fun that you could possilbly pack in a few hours, we had a new friend with whom we are friends with to this day. When he has a chance, Joe will stop by and stay at our house and we try to show him some of our favorite places to ride.

What this all boiled down to is that due to the adventure riding community, we made a new friend from another country who we have retained for years.
